The B.A.M.A.(Bringing Artistic Movement Amongst the youth) Dance Workshop Experience, featuring dynamic dancer, choreographer, and dance educator Jazmine Freeman will provide an opportunity for teen dancers (13 & up) in rural Sumter County to learn ballet, contemporary, jazz, and majorette dance techniques with an established dance artist. Participants will attend daily dance workshops during the weeks of September 12 – 18 and October 3 – 8 (Monday – Friday after school from 4 – 6 PM and Saturday from 10AM – 4PM). The program culminates with a recital at the Pop Start community space on October 8! Jazmine will return to CCA in December to host a refresher workshop to prepare participants to perform in the York Christmas Parade on December 3! Virtual check-ins will occur between visits.
