The Coleman Center for the Arts Summer Camp 2015: Camp PLAY

Calling all Sumter County youth ages 8-18: you are invited to “Camp Play!” Experiment in visual and performing arts and more at the Coleman Center for the Arts’ one-week summer camp! Camp will run June 8-12, Monday through Friday from 9:45 am to 4 pm, with a closing celebration on June 12 from 6-8 pm.

This year’s summer camp will have a PLAY theme. Imagination, creativity, and collaborative fun are our inspirations. Participants will gain experience in visual art, music, performance, creative writing and critical thinking. Camp offers one track for campers age 8-12 and one for campers 13-18, each tailored to the needs and interests of participants. Varied, tasty and balanced lunches will be provided every day.

An all-star group of artists and educators will lead sessions at the Coleman Center for the Arts’ Summer Camp including Shana Berger, Darius Hill, Gary James, Tameka Norris, Nathan Purath, Catherine Shelton, Kanita Sturdivant, and Boo Gilder!

Space is limited to 24 campers, so don’t wait too long to sign up. Reserve your space in camp by filling out a registration form and turning it into the Coleman Center by June 5th.
