Dr. Marguerite Hinrichs, Executive Director and Curator

Dr. Marguerite Hinrichs joined the Coleman Center for the Arts from Oakland, California in April 2022, after 20 years of service as a Student Affairs Professional and 14 years as a college professor. Dr. Hinrichs holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, a Master of Science in Hospitality & Tourism, and a Doctorate in Education, with a focus on Leadership and Social Justice.She is thrilled to bring her transformative leadership experience, public relations and marketing expertise, and passion for the arts to the Black Belt. In July of 2022, Dr. Hinrichs was selected to represent the South Arts region as a National Leaders of Color Fellow with the U.S. Regional Arts Organization.

Curator of Arts Education

Curtis Wayne Riley, Jr, Curator of Arts Education

Curtis “Bro. Boze” Riley Jr. is a visual artist and illustrator from Oakland, CA, with over 15 years of experience collaborating with communities in the San Francisco Bay Area. He specializes in painting, drawing, and digital art, using his extensive experience to inspire creativity in others. His work with diverse communities has shaped his understanding of the commonalities and differences that define us all.

Bro. Boze has held various roles, including Art Instructor and After School Program Site Coordinator with the Ujimaa Foundation, Dean of Students with the 100 Black Men of the Bay Area Charter School of Oakland, and Dean of Student Life and Director of BASC (Before & After School Care) for the Francophone Charter School of Oakland.

Currently, Bro. Boze serves as the Curator of Arts Education for the Coleman Center for the Arts (CCA) in York, Alabama. CCA serves Sumter County by providing access to art through exhibitions, workshops, and art classes.

Administrative Support Coordinator

Michael Pringle, Administrative Support Coordinator

Michael Pringle, a native of York, Alabama. He is an active member of his community by helping those in need. He is a graduate of Sumter County High School and Meridian Community College in the studies of graphic design. Michael is the Administrative Support Coordinator for the Coleman Center for the Arts, where he coordinates general operations, coordinate finances, and collaborate with other coordinators for projects.

Michael is also known for being a spoken word poet going by the name of Just Chill. He also run his own Lawn Care Service known as Ambitious Services and graphic design business known as Just Chill Graphix. Michael is a valuable member of Coleman Center for the Arts.

Facilities Maintenance

Lovell Johnson, Facilities Maintenance

Lovell Johnson, a native of York, Alabama. He has been active in helping the community all his life, credits his parents with instilling in him a positive outlook, and stays active in his church. He is the Chairman of the Board of Deacons and the Superintendent of Sunday School at the Eastern Star Baptist Church in York. He enjoys working at the Coleman Center where he keeps the many properties in constant check.

Reggie Scott, Facilities Maintenance

Daniel Rogers, a native of Cuba, Alabama, is a dedicated arts professional with a strong background in interdisciplinary studies and psychology, holding a degree from the University of West Alabama. Currently, Daniel serves as the Program Support Coordinator at the Coleman Center for the Arts, where he plays a pivotal role in managing daily programmatic, administrative, and leadership tasks to ensure the successful execution of the center’s diverse programming.

A proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Daniel is deeply committed to community engagement and service. His passion for the arts extends beyond his professional role; he is also a talented photographer, capturing moments and stories through his lens in his free time. Daniel’s multifaceted interests and skills make him a valuable asset to the Coleman Center for the Arts and his community.
